Bueno comida, gracias!
In the past few years, there have been more and more authentic Mexican restaurants popping up around WNY. We've tried a few of them and were very impressed with El Palenque. The food was really tasty and served quickly with a smile. Of course by the time the entrée is served you're stuffed with tortilla chips and their amazing salsa. You need to be careful, the plate is hot! I ordered one chicken and one beef tip enchilada with rice and beans. After a few bites I realized this place was special. There seemed to be more flavor, more seasoning in each bite than the other places. The prices were quite reasonable too. La Tolteca may have better ambience, El Palenque has the superior flavor.

Good atmosphere. If you like a place where you never have to wait this is it! I was in and out in 30 minutes! The dinners came out in 10 minutes. Very hospitable. Even a good selection for your little enchiladas {kids}. Great prices. The three of us ate for less than thirty dollars with tip. Homemade tasty, mexican food with great margaritas. Combo platters are good. I had a chicken burrito that was moist and not too spicy. Rating 8/10.

This joint is FILTHY! The food is fair compared to WNY's other Tex-Mex establishments. They all seem to follow the same policy of sloppy, bland, cheap and fast. How I wish Buffalo had more experience with quality Mexican food. Then these 2-for-1 margarita-ed suburbanites would be demanding better food.
